Hello everybody. I promised a contest this Saturday, didn't I? Now that we have our Prize Artist, here we go!

This is the theme: Oldsk00l

What do you mean by oldsk00l, you ask? I'm talking pre-Dreamcast Sonic games; you must draw/write a Sonadow inspired by classic Sonic games, such as the ones on the SEGA Genesis.

Sonic & Shadow racing in Green Hill? A fanart taking place in one of the levels of Sonic CD? Or even our favorite hedgehogs racing in Sonic Drift! These are only a few examples of the huge world that make up the older games.

Rules

1. Must feature Sonic & Shadow. But of course!
2. It also must be centered on them. Having Knuckles in the background is fine, but we want the center spotlight to remain on Sonic & Shadow. This is what our club is about after all!
3. PG-13 is the highest you can go--absolutely NO R or NC-17. Keep it within DA's guidelines.
4. Your entry must be NOTED to Sonadowlovers and be uploaded on DA in your account. I won't accept entries from any site other than DA. Same goes for pic/fic commented on the journal entry or main page.
5. ABSOLUTELY NO PLAGERISM. This goes for instant disqualification.
6. Entries must be new.
7. NO FANCHARACTERS ALLOWED. No ifs or buts about it.
8. Absolutely no entries based on SA1 and after. Including newer characters such as Rouge in an oldsk00l setting is okay. A picture or story centered around ShtH with only a faint mention of Oil Ocean isn't. Stay on topic!
9. NO CHARACTER BASHING. I won't tolerate anyone such as Amy Rose being mistreated solely for spite. Keep your vendettas against characters or ships to yourself.
10. You may submit fanart or fanfic, but not both. Sorry!

FANART - Anything goes except for sprites and icons.
FANFIC - Minimum is 2-5 pages. Maximum is 7-10.

Due Date: April 24th, 2007

Prize: Winner is granted art by based on their piece.

Purpose

This club is to promote the potential relationship between the Sega/Sonic Team characters Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog (or affectionately known as "Sonadow" ). ^_^

Fans of the pairing can meet up and gather or discuss issues regarding Sonadow here at the club. ^_^ I'd like to keep club activity at G to PG-13 level so people don't have to be uncomfortable viewing something they don't want to. I know some members might be comfortable with mature content, but I'd like the club to be as open as possible to others who are unaware of Sonadow and not be so quickly offended. ^_^

NOTE: Please be aware that if you have come across this club page, this club supports a shounen-ai pairing or homosexual relationship between two male characters. If you dislike the content, please don't leave nasty comments as you will be ignored, and if it becomes a problem, I will report you to the DA admins for harassment. ^_^

Joining

If you would like to join, please send a NOTE to the club. ^_^ The comments on the page might scroll too fast, and I might miss your request. ^_^ Please give me time to add your names. And please do NOT note me at my own name since I don't want requests to be missed if I don't check my notes. ^^ Requests in comment form on the main page will be ignored.

Also - please deviwatch the club in order to get the news of what is going on in the club. This is the best way that I can get information out to you guys without mass noting everyone and never getting responses. All you have to do is click the little deviwatch button on the ~Sonadowlovers main page - then make sure when you're adding the club that the JOURNALS box is checked. This way, you'll get the news of contests, voting and other things first through the updating journals! Thanks in advance!

And remember, once you're added, please add the club icon to your own journals. You can do this by typing : iconsonadowlovers : without the spaces next to the colons and the icon will show up. Simple, ne? ^^!

Rules

I want to make it clear that people have different views of the Shadow and Sonic relationship. Everyone is entitled to their opinion (I have my own, and I will try not to influence the club too much with them - I'm sorry if I have already ^^). So any discussion that takes place here, please keep it civil and respectful. This club will not tolerate flaming by its members or public arguments (although intelligent public debate is all right ^_^). Just use your judgment, and if you want to fight it out, then please do so in private Notes and not spam the club. ^_^

Nor will this club tolerate members who try to force others into liking this pairing. Again, people have their opinions, and some people just aren't comfortable with this or they just dislike the pairing. Please respect others and their opinions. You are a member of this club, and be proud! But don't ruin it for the rest of us and give us all a bad name. ^_^ We're here to have fun (and revel in how cute Sonadow is ^^), so please don't take this all too seriously. ^_^

But do remember to have fun! ^_^ We're here to support a pairing we love! ^^ And Shadow and Sonic are rather cute, aren't they? ^_~
